Tucking in at Billy Kwong!

Heard enough raving about this restaurant ...

Snowflake decided to try it out ....

Billy Kwong opens at 6pm;

suprisingly people were queuing up from 5:30pm!!!

By 6pm, there were more than 40 people waiting to get in!

We were the 3rd group who got seated ...

We quickly flipped through the menu!

We settled in the corner table by the door .....

The table was extraordinarily small .... a bit worried how the food was going to squeeze into the small space ...

It reminded me of Tai Pai Tongs in HKG!

Chatted over the order while munching on salted shelled peanuts .....

Here comes the water!

The starters .....

Steamed fresh shallot and coriander oysters
and
Kingfish sashimi with fresh shaved cucumber and pickled carrot

Don't be deceived .... still in the process of seating the long line of patrons snaking down Crown St!

The mains .......

Crispy skin duck with plum sauce

Line-caught Red Snapper .... steamed ......

YUMMO!

Stuff in the rice ....... for the steamed fish sauce ....
